The Cockroach Hall of Fame

Welcome to The Cockroach Hall of Fame, the most bizarre and hilarious museum of roach art in Texas! In this blog post, I will take you on a tour of this unique attraction and show you some of the amazing creations that the owner, Michael Bohdan, has made using real cockroaches.

The Cockroach Hall of Fame is located in Plano, Texas, inside Bohdan’s pest control shop. Bohdan, who calls himself “the Cockroach Dundee”, started collecting and preserving cockroaches in the 1980s, after he won a roach-killing contest. He then decided to dress them up and display them in humorous scenes, such as “Liberoachi”, a roach playing a piano with a candelabra; “Marilyn Monroach”, a roach with a blonde wig and a white dress; and “David Letteroach”, a roach with a gap-toothed grin and a microphone.

The museum has more than 25 exhibits, each with a catchy name and a witty description. Some of the highlights include “The Comb-Over Roach”, a balding roach with a toupee; “The E.T. Roach”, a roach with a glowing finger and a bicycle; and “The Elvis Roach”, a roach with sideburns and a guitar. Bohdan also has some historical and cultural displays, such as “The Roach Motel”, a miniature replica of a seedy hotel room; “The Texas Chainsaw Roach”, a roach with a chainsaw and a bloody apron; and “The Roach Dunk”, a roach hanging from a basketball hoop.

Bohdan says he gets his inspiration from movies, TV shows, celebrities, and current events. He also says he has a lot of fun making his roach art, and he hopes his visitors will enjoy it too. He claims that his museum is educational, as it teaches people about the biology and behavior of cockroaches, as well as how to get rid of them. He also says that his museum is therapeutic, as it helps people overcome their fear and disgust of cockroaches.

The Cockroach Hall of Fame is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and admission is free. However, Bohdan warns that his museum is not for the faint-hearted or the squeamish, as some of his exhibits are quite graphic and gross. He also advises visitors not to touch or disturb the displays, as some of them may still be alive!

If you are looking for something different and hilarious to do in Texas, you should definitely check out The Cockroach Hall of Fame. It is one of the most original and creative museums you will ever see, and it will make you laugh out loud. Just don’t forget to bring your camera and your sense of humor!
